Sherpa and Shire are unique upholstery fabrics with 100% Marquesa®
Lana construction. Through the proven application of chemistry which
integrates fiber and finish, these fabrics have set an unsurpassed
industry standard for performance. They are durable, easy to clean,
nearly impervious to damage, and their colors remain true for years.
Things that don't matter: Indirect Sun, Stains, Dirt, Grease, and
Harsh Cleaning Agents.
Things that don't happen: Pilling and Fuzzing
Sherpa and Shire have great tensile strength, so they won't break.
They have superior abrasion resistance, so they won't wear out. The
color and fiber are integral. Colors go all the way through, so they
can't wear off. Colors are uniform, dyelot to dyelot, so there is never
a matching discrepancy, even years later. The aesthetics are similar
to wool's.
